Wake Island Waterpark is a large floating water park set on a lake just outside Sacramento, built around an enormous inflatable obstacle course with slides, trampolines, runways, swings, and wiggle bridges. Younger children have their own scaled-down Kids Aqua Park and Splash Castle, both designed for kids ages 3 and up to 48 inches tall, with an adult required to accompany them at all times. Older kids and adults can race the multi-level Ninja Race Course, plunge down triple 60-foot speed slides, zipline across the lake, or try the boat-less cable wakeboarding park. The park also has a sandy beach area for relaxing, food available on site, lifeguards on duty, required life jackets, and scheduled safety breaks throughout the day; all participants must be able to swim while wearing a life jacket.
