A restored World War II landing ship tank permanently docked in downtown Muskegon that operates as a veterans museum. Visitors tour the vessel's decks and see artifacts and displays about its military service, including action during the Sicily campaign, the Salerno invasion, and D-Day. The ship is one of only two LSTs still surviving from over a thousand built during the war. Families can explore the interior spaces and climb around the different levels. The museum operates daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with weekend-only hours in May and September.
A membership to USS LST 393 Veterans Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
