About this place
Toronto Zoo is a large wildlife park in Rouge National Urban Park, home to more than 3,000 animals from over 300 species spread across seven zoogeographic regions. Families can spend the day walking roughly 10 km of trails, visiting the Wildlife Health and Science Centre, the Green House, and the seasonal Splash Island water play area. Scheduled keeper talks and animal encounters let kids get up close to favorite species, and a new golf cart tour option lets small groups explore for up to three hours. Hours run daily but vary by season, generally around 9:30am to 4:30pm or later on weekends and holidays, and tickets are cheaper when booked a few days ahead.
