Free or discounted entry for members of AHS Garden Network.
A public conservation garden on 39 acres near Hempstead housing over 5,000 plants from around 1,500 species, many rare or endangered. The garden displays plants suited to central Texas and the Gulf Coast, with extensive collections of agaves, magnolias, oaks, gingers, and plants gathered from Mexico, Asia and the United States during expeditions. Families can walk the grounds to see how the garden layers plants by height and texture, discover seasonal bloomers like summer-flowering gingers, and attend tours and educational events. The garden was created by John Fairey in 1971 and is now operated as a nonprofit conservation space.
A membership to The John Fairey Garden carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
