About this place
A 50-acre botanical garden in Raleigh with one of the region's largest collections of plants suited to southeastern gardens. Visitors can walk the grounds daily at no cost to see plants being tested for their suitability in local landscapes. The arboretum runs gardening classes for all levels, sells unusual plants through its Plant Stand near the visitor center, and offers guided tours led by horticulturists. Membership includes reciprocal entry to other gardens across the country.
