The Taos Art Museum at Fechin House engages and inspires through historic preservation and interpretation of the Fechin House, studio and gardens; through rich, relevant programs based on the collections and exhibitions, and a commitment to building cultural literacy and creative opportunity. The Taos Art Museum is housed in the home and studio that renowned Russian artist Nicolai Fechin built for his family between 1927 and 1933. The house and studio are masterpieces, blending Fechin’s artistic sensibilities and architectural skills with Russian design elements and Southwestern adobe construction and style. There is nothing else like it in the world. The woodworking in the home, all done by Fechin, is alone worth the visit. The museum’s permanent collection features Fechin’s works as well as paintings by members of the Taos Society of Artists.
A membership to Taos Art Museum at Fechin House carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
