About this placeThis downtown St. Petersburg museum has been sharing the story of the city and the Tampa Bay region for more than a century, with exhibits located right at the entrance to the Pier District. Kids can see displays on the world's first commercial airline, explore 150 years of baseball history in Schrader's Little Cooperstown, and walk through exhibits on the growth of tourism in the Sunshine City. School and group tours are offered, with guides walking students through the permanent and rotating exhibits, and teachers are admitted free. Parking is available nearby in the Pier's Dolphin and Pelican lots or at the Sundial Parking Garage a few blocks west, and Perry's Porch next door offers a spot to grab food after the visit.
A membership to St. Petersburg Museum of History carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in these programs.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
