South Hanover Lanes is a family bowling center on Baltimore Pike that has been remodeled with a new scoring system and automatic bumpers on the lanes. Four sliding "Dragon" ramps let toddlers and guests with physical challenges roll the ball down the lane on their own, making it workable for very young kids. Weekday games run $3 each or three for $8 until 4pm, and the Kids Bowl Free program runs on Saturdays and Sundays for families. On Saturday nights from 8 to 10, glow bowling costs $15 per person and includes shoe rental, lights, music, and prizes, and lanes or the whole facility can be rented for parties and events. A full snack bar serves pizza, sandwiches, ice cream, and other snacks, and staff help run birthday parties with packages that include a party host.
