About this placeRosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park is an AZA-accredited zoo in Syracuse where kids can explore animal habitats and native gardens maintained by staff and volunteers. On weekends in September, families can catch Creatures Chats, short talks about featured animals such as an elephant stretch-training session, with locations announced over the PA system. The USS Antiquities Cave/Aquarium exhibit currently features two small "elephants" on display. Strollers can be rented from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an ID on file, and both push and motorized wheelchairs are available to borrow at the Membership Desk, the motorized ones free for guests 18 and older with a valid license. The zoo asks visitors to keep noise down near habitats, avoid feeding or touching animals, and stay off rocks, fences, and landscaping to keep everyone safe.
A membership to Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
