About this place
Rocket Ice Skating Rink in Bolingbrook is an ice arena with two full-size rinks, Lake Placid and Lake Tahoe, offering activities for kids and families year round. Public skate sessions run on a regular schedule plus school days off, with music and themed character skates on the ice. Children can take Learn to Skate lessons based on the U.S. Figure Skating Association curriculum or Learn to Play Hockey classes following the USA Hockey development model, progressing through skill levels with gear and stickwork as they advance. The rink is also home to the Sabre Hockey Association youth hockey program and the Starfire Synchronized Skating team, and it hosts birthday parties, group outings for scouts and schools, and stick-and-puck sessions for young players.
