About this place
Richmond Ice Box is a newly opened indoor ice rink in Midlothian offering a regulation-size sheet for hockey, figure skating, and public skating sessions. Skate rentals are available in youth and adult sizes, so families don't need their own gear to try skating for the first time. Kids can join youth hockey through Learn-to-Play programs, including a partnership with the Washington Capitals for ages 5 to 9, plus Learn to Skate group classes for beginners of any age. The facility also has a multipurpose event room off the lobby that hosts birthday parties and group gatherings. Some offerings, like free skate sessions and adult leagues, are still being rolled out as the rink continues to open new programs.
