About this placeRancho Los Cerritos is a historic adobe rancho in Long Beach where families can explore exhibits on the Tongva people, early Spanish and American settlers, Chinese immigrant laborers, and Victorian-era domestic life. Kids can join a docent-led tour, try a family scavenger hunt offered in English and Spanish, or wander the California Native Garden and historic buildings on a self-guided visit. Picnics are welcome in designated areas near the garden or by the Visitor Center, though food is not allowed inside the exhibit spaces or on the lawns. Admission is free during public hours (donations appreciated), and the site is open Wednesday through Sunday, with a parking lot located across from the entry gates.
A membership to Rancho Los Cerritos carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
