Pumpkintown U.S.A. is a seasonal fall attraction in East Hampton, Connecticut, built around more than 100 handmade Pumpkinhead figures set up in whimsical scenes. In the Village, kids wander among more than 30 Pumpkinheads in a mock firehouse, saloon, church, bank and post office, while a narrated one-mile hayride carries visitors through the Forest to see another 30-plus characters across 17 settings like a schoolyard, sawmill and coal mine, often with a scavenger hunt for hidden items along the way. Weekend extras include face painting, the Sling-a-Ding ride and Betsy Balloon, plus food stands selling fried chicken strips, apple cider donuts, cider slushies and hot cocoa. The park is open daily from 10am to 5pm, from September 19th through Halloween, with parking available on site and a crossing guard to help visitors reach the hayride entrance across the street; dogs are not permitted. Private tent rentals and group packages for parties, schools and other outings are also offered.
