Prairie Aviation Museum

Prairie Aviation Museum in Bloomington lets families explore a collection of historic aircraft both inside the museum and outdoors in its Airpark, which includes 11 planes and 2 helicopters along with piston and jet engines on display. Kids can get hands-on with static aircraft and displays, including a Convair 880 flight simulator and a B-57 cockpit, and volunteer members are often on hand to share firsthand stories from their flying and maintenance days. Admission runs $5 for visitors 12 and up, $3 for children 6 to 11, and free for kids 5 and under, with museum members and active military admitted free.
