Poulsbo Historical Society brings the history of our local area to life in our 4 locations: The Heritage Museum features information, artifacts, and exhibits on our early Scandinavian settlers – their way of life in the rugged Pacific Northwest; and how the town grew throughout the early 20th century. Poulsbo Maritime Museum Our Maritime Museum offers insight and exhibits on the importance of our maritime heritage – featuring our local Pacific Cod Fish Company which was a major employer in town for years; the reintroduction of the native Olympic oyster into Liberty Bay, and the many commercial boats that were built in Poulsbo, as well as hundreds of others that called Poulsbo their home port. Martinson Cabin Our Martinson Cabin, which sits in a local park, contains artifacts that would have been found in any local home in the late 19th century and features living history events. Archive and Resource Center Our Research and Archives center contains all of the artifacts that are not currently on display at our other locations.
A membership to Poulsbo Historical Society carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
