About this place
This compact mini-zoo in East Stroudsburg lets kids feed and interact with animals up close in about an hour, making it an easy option for families with young children who don't want a full-day zoo visit. Visitors can feed friendly goats, bottle-feed a pot-belly pig, toss treats to monkeys and lemurs, and even feed alligators in summer, using organic treats sold at the front counter. The collection includes bears, bobcats, servals, sloths, wallabies, chinchillas, raccoons, and a wide range of reptiles such as rattlesnakes, a Gaboon Viper, a Reticulated Python, and a 90-pound Alligator Snapping Turtle. The farm started over 50 years ago as a refuge for exotic animals whose previous owners could no longer care for them, and it continues to house these animals for life. It's open daily from 11am to 5pm in peak season, though hours shift seasonally and visits can be cancelled in severe weather.
