About this placePenn Museum is an archaeology and anthropology museum on the University of Pennsylvania campus, home to more than a million artifacts spanning 10,000 years of human history. Families can explore galleries covering ancient Egypt, a Native North America exhibit developed with Indigenous curators covering 13,000 years of history, and a watercolor exhibit on archaeological art. The Egypt Galleries are currently closed for renovation and set to reopen December 12, and kids can still see Egyptian artifacts through other displays in the meantime. The museum hosts family events like CultureFest, a full-day Dia de los Muertos festival, plus ongoing lectures and programs, and there is a museum shop selling toys, books, and world treasures. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
A membership to Penn Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
