Once Upon an Island runs immersive character experiences on and around Balboa Island in Newport Beach, where kids meet mermaids, princesses, pirates, and Santa in themed private sets like a mermaid grotto and a walk-through North Pole. Birthday celebrations are led start to finish by a professional cast, with transformations, activities, and storytelling built around the birthday child. Parents get their own lounge during the party with couches, bar seating, a dedicated bar attendant, and complimentary lattes. Beyond the main Balboa Island location, a shorter version of the experience is also offered at Wild Rivers water park and the Balboa Fun Zone.
