A museum complex spread across 25 acres in the Schoharie Valley, featuring seven historic buildings and thousands of artifacts related to the county's past. The main structure is the Old Stone Fort, originally a church built in 1772 that was fortified during the American Revolution and saw battle in 1780. Families can walk the grounds, explore the exhibit buildings, and see displays covering three centuries of rural New York history. The museum also runs educational programs and seasonal events. Children get free admission.
A membership to Old Stone Fort Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
