About this place
Ocean World is a small aquarium in Crescent City offering a guided, 45-minute tour through its sea-life exhibits. Visits start at a touch-and-feel tide pool where kids can handle tide pool creatures, then move into the main aquarium to see sharks, bat rays, seals and sea lions, with a chance to pet a live shark along the way. The tour ends with a live seal and sea lion show featuring resident animals Wyatt, Skully, Marina, Cora and Pearl, followed by a gift shop stop. Admission is $16.95 for ages 12 and up, $10.95 for ages 3 to 11, and free for children 2 and under. The facility has been open in Crescent City since 1964, originally as an underwater barge exhibit before moving to its current dry-land site in 1985.
