North Bowl is a large bowling alley in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood, set inside a renovated former mechanic's garage with lanes spread across two floors plus an arcade, pool tables and air hockey. Kids can bowl with bumpers and ball ramps to help them roll, and games cost $7 per person (rising to $9 on Friday and Saturday nights after 6pm) plus a $6 shoe rental, paid in cash. Families should note the venue doubles as a bar and restaurant, so children under 18 must stay with a parent at all times, and everyone under 21 has to leave the building by 8pm. It is open evenings on weekdays and from noon on weekends, and outside food, drinks, and confetti are not permitted inside.
