The Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver (MCA) is an innovative forum for contemporary art that inspires and challenges all audiences, creating understanding and dialog about art of our time. Formed in 1996, MCA provides Denver with its first major contemporary art museum. MCA is a non-collecting space and functions like the European model of a kunsthalle, offering the ongoing presentation of groundbreaking and thought-provoking artwork. MCA sees its role to be an incubator for ideas, artistic exchange and cross-disciplinary dialog by presenting diverse exhibitions, education and outreach programs. MCA also features Museum Shop, daily tours by appointment, event space for rent.
A membership to Museum of Contemporary Art Denver carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
