Mission Grit is an obstacle-course-based youth development center in Charlotte where kids build strength, confidence, and teamwork through structured physical challenges rather than free-play recreation. The Xplor Program offers ongoing obstacle course classes for ages 4 and up, while single-day and week-long camps run during school breaks and summer for ages 6 and up, mixing obstacle courses, team challenges, and problem-solving games, with occasional visits from firefighters, police officers, and other real-life heroes. Birthday parties are private, instructor-led events built around the obstacle courses for children turning 6 and older, letting the birthday child take the lead as the star of the mission. Lead instructors are primarily military veterans, and camps run full days only, with parents asked to pack a lunch, snack, and water bottle since no food is provided.
