About this place
This aquarium and nature center in Medicine Park features more than 90 exhibits of native and non-native fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals, alongside a six-acre botanical garden of local plants. Kids can watch feeding shows and interactive Critter Chats throughout the day, and can buy food cups for a dollar to feed the turtles and quail. The site is wheelchair accessible, though outdoor trails are gravel, and a full visit through the indoor and outdoor exhibits typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours. A gift shop on site sells snacks, drinks and souvenirs. It is open 10 am to 5 pm daily, closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and pets or emotional support animals are not permitted on the grounds.
