Free or discounted entry for members of AHS Garden Network.
A historic 1840s farmstead in South Paris with extensive gardens open to the public. Families can walk through collections of lilacs (particularly striking in May), hostas, daylilies, and other perennials that thrive in Maine's climate. The grounds include wildflowers and ferns, and attract birds and pollinators. The site runs self-guided tours, workshops, and lectures throughout the season, along with special events like Garden Illuminated and a pumpkin spectacular. A plant sale operates from Mother's Day through late October, selling hardy varieties suitable for local gardens.
A membership to McLaughlin Garden and Homestead carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
