About this place
Massee Lane Gardens is a botanical garden near Fort Valley that serves as the headquarters of the American Camellia Society, featuring nine acres of camellia plantings plus more than twenty additional acres of specialty gardens and plant collections. Families can wander the grounds and see camellias and other flowering plants recognized as part of an International Garden of Excellence. It is open Tuesday through Sunday, with reduced hours on Sunday and closures on major holidays, and it opens daily during February's Festival of Camellias. General admission is $10, seniors 55 and up pay $8, and children age 12 and under get in free, with guided tours available for groups by appointment.
