A historical museum housed in a renovated Carnegie Library building in Lorain, Ohio. The museum preserves and shares the city's industrial and cultural history through exhibits and community programs. The Children's History Center offers field trips, camps, and educational activities for students from kindergarten through eighth grade that align with Ohio schools' standards. The society also runs a kindergarten readiness program for younger children, and has established archives documenting the experiences of Lorain's Latino and African American communities. Family-friendly programming happens throughout the year.
A membership to Lorain Historical Society carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
