About this place
Hobbs Ice Arena is a large municipal ice facility in Eau Claire with two full-size ice sheets and a smaller studio rink, giving families multiple spaces for skating and hockey activities. The building spans about 93,000 square feet and includes a mezzanine area where parents can watch from above while kids are on the ice. Meeting and party rooms are available for booking, and the space can also be converted for dry floor events when the ice is not in use. Families interested in casual skating can check the facility's drop-in and open activity schedule, which uses the EC RecPass system for access. The rink is also equipped with LiveBarn cameras, so relatives who cannot attend in person can watch games and sessions live or on demand through a separate subscription.
