Dive into Freeborn County history! One of the best stops in Albert Lea, the History Center of Freeborn County is your place to experience, explore, and examine Freeborn County’s history. Our campus includes a Historical Village with ten historic buildings, four storefronts, the Red Shed exhibit hall; the History Center is home to two floors of exhibits exploring local history featuring interactive fun along and the Kevin Savick Research Library. In addition to the History Center campus, we manage the Itasca Rock Garden. This stunning property is available for tour by appointment.
A membership to History Center of Freeborn County carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
