Hillsboro Summerfest is an annual four-day summer festival held at Grimes Field, running July 9th through 12th, that has drawn New England families for more than 35 years. Kids can enjoy carnival rides from Miller Amusements, watch the town parade, and take in a fireworks show, while the whole family can browse food trucks and food concessions and take part in a lively festival atmosphere. Other activities include live entertainment, a Gate Drop 5K, a beer tent for adults, and the quirky Women's Skillet Toss contest. The event is run by volunteers and proceeds support local non-profit organizations and community groups.
