Free or discounted entry for members of ROAM, NARM.
A museum in Freeman, South Dakota that preserves the history of German-Russian immigrants and other settlers who arrived in the area from the 1870s onward. The museum spans over 25,000 square feet across two exhibit halls and four historical buildings, filled with thousands of artifacts including household goods, farm equipment, and religious items from Amish, Hutterite, Lutheran, Mennonite and Reformed communities. Visitors can sit in a restored one-room schoolhouse, see the interior of an early pioneer home with its Russian oven, and view two preserved rural churches. An archives library holds over 10,000 books, maps, documents and photographs available for research. The collection tells the story of how these settlers established their community on the Great Plains.
A membership to Heritage Hall Museum & Archives carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in these programs.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
