An art museum in Syracuse focused on contemporary work across painting, sculpture, and ceramics. The Everson mounts solo exhibitions by established artists and has a history of commissioning new pieces, including a notable 1976 project that brought known painters and sculptors to work in clay. The museum runs workshops in drawing, collage, silk screening, and other techniques for visitors who want to make art themselves. A community plaza hosts food trucks and live music on summer Fridays. The building itself is considered architecturally significant in Syracuse.
A membership to Everson Museum of Art carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
