Critter Lane Petting Zoo is a small animal park in Valles Mines where kids can meet and interact with a variety of critters, including a mammoth donkey named Maynard. For an extra fee, families can book a spider monkey and sloth encounter, offered Friday through Sunday by calling ahead. The zoo is open Thursday through Monday from 10am to 6pm, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and dogs are not permitted on site. Birthday parties can be booked for $130 covering 20 people (kids 2 and under free, extra guests $7.50 each), with two hours reserved at the pavilion and families welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Season passes run $125 for a family of four plus $35 per additional person, and the zoo also offers reindeer rentals for holiday events.
