Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a working marine rescue and rehabilitation center where kids can see dolphins, sea turtles, and other rescued animals up close. The newly opened Pinniped Pier lets families watch California sea lions and harbor seals, while the Tales of Winter the Dolphin exhibit tells the real story of the rescued dolphin behind Dolphin Tale, complete with movie props and her prosthetic tails. Throughout the day there are animal presentations viewable from the Dolphin Terrace or the underwater Window of Wonder, plus included screenings of short films like Turtle Odyssey and Earthflight. Kids can also buy food to hand-feed stingrays at Guest Services, and the center runs family programs such as Homeschool Hangouts and themed evening events. As a nonprofit, admission proceeds go toward the aquarium's animal rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation work.
