A local history museum in three buildings preserving artifacts and stories of Cheboygan County. Visitors explore period rooms showing how families lived in the early 1900s, with furnished bedrooms, kitchens and parlors. The site also includes the original county jailhouse and sheriff's quarters, plus a log cabin that belonged to an Indian family, furnished to show how Northern Michigan Indians lived in the late 1800s. The museum holds nearly 9,000 artifacts and mixes traditional displays with interactive exhibits.
A membership to Cheboygan County History Center carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
