Cheap Skate is a family roller rink in Coon Rapids that has been running skating sessions since 1977. Open hours follow the Anoka-Hennepin school calendar, with sessions offered on school days, weekends, and breaks, each featuring music, a discount night, and a family night. Kids can skate on their own or with a group, and the rink also books birthday parties, private parties, and special events. Skate rentals are available, socks are required for anyone renting skates, and children under 3 get in free while everyone else pays admission, including adults who are just watching on weekends. Guests under 18 must stay with a parent or guardian the whole visit, no drop-offs are allowed, and outside food isn't permitted except for a store-bought cake with a party package.
