Carello's Carousel Arcade is a family-run amusement center in Sylvan Beach that has offered games and rides since the Carello family took over in 1972. Kids can play Skee-Ball and ticket games to win prizes in the arcade, then take a ride on the historic carousel, whose frame dates back to a Leopold-Long carousel built in the 1890s. The current ride features aluminum animals including horses, pigs, roosters, dogs, rabbits, camels, reindeer, goats and zebras, made by Theel Manufacturing around 1971, along with chariots for those who prefer not to sit on an animal. The venue is independently owned and not affiliated with Sylvan Beach Amusement Park, and it has been a stop for family fun in the area for generations.
