A botanical gardens occupying 12 acres in a park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. The centerpiece is a historic glass conservatory built in 1900, modelled on London glasshouses. Visitors walk through indoor plant collections and outdoor gardens, with an accredited arboretum also on the grounds. The gardens run special activities for children during certain periods, and families can attend workshops and classes. In September, children aged 12 and under visit free.
A membership to Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
