A small zoo on the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware, spread across less than five acres. Families can see animals including squirrel monkeys, porcupines, iguanas and tortoises in naturalistic habitats. The zoo runs children's storytimes on Thursdays in the Wildlife Amphitheater, hosts live music performances during summer, and offers keeper-led encounters where visitors can watch and sometimes help with animal feeding and training. There is a quieter early morning visiting option for children who find busy environments challenging.
A membership to Brandywine Zoo carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
