Free or discounted entry for members of AZA Reciprocal Admissions.
A museum on Sanibel Island dedicated to shells and the marine animals that produce them. The collection holds nearly 600,000 shells, with specimens from Florida, the Gulf, the Caribbean, and beyond. Visitors can explore shell exhibits, watch live marine animals including octopuses, conchs, clams, and squids in aquarium displays, and join guided beach walks, talks, and classes about shells and mollusks. The museum also runs community science projects and education programs for local schoolchildren.
A membership to Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
