A 121-acre arboretum in Union, Kentucky, about 25 minutes from Cincinnati, featuring diverse plant collections arranged by family within an active recreation park. Families can walk the two-mile trail that winds through the grounds, exploring unusual plants rarely seen elsewhere in the region, alongside 12 sports fields. Leashed pets are welcome. Admission and parking are free, and the site is open daily from 7:30am until dusk year-round. The arboretum holds the highest accreditation level and offers programs for various ages throughout the year.
A membership to Boone County Arboretum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
