A zoo across 122 acres in Birmingham, Alabama, housing around 550 animals from 180 species across six continents. Families walk through sections like Trails of Africa to see elephants, giraffes, lions, bears, orangutans, red pandas, rhinos and zebras. The zoo includes a dedicated Children's Zoo with exhibits focused on Alabama's urban, rural and wild animals, plus interactive areas where visitors can feed lorikeets. Information signs throughout explain animal conservation work and endangered species programs.
A membership to Birmingham Zoo carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
