About this place
Berkshire Boulders is a bouldering-only climbing gym set to open in Great Barrington in fall, with a 100-foot main wall and nearly 2,000 square feet of climbing surface designed for all ability levels, from kids to adults. There are no ropes or courses required to get started, since bouldering routes stay close to thick safety pads and use short but challenging sequences of moves. The gym will also include an adjustable, lit spray wall where climbers can set their own routes or try ones built by a rotating crew of setters. It sits in the rear building of a complex on Stockbridge Rd facing the river, convenient to nearby towns like Sheffield, Stockbridge, Lee, and Lenox. Families curious about visiting should note the gym is currently under construction and not yet open to the public.
