About this placeZoo Miami is the largest zoo in Florida, spread across roughly 750 acres with about four miles of walkways that kids can explore on foot, by safari cycle, or on a tram tour. It houses more than 2,000 animals from 375 species, grouped by region so families can see jaguars from the Amazon, tigers from Asia, tree kangaroos from Australia, and crocodiles from the Florida Everglades in one visit. The Conservation Action Center adds an indoor interactive stop where children can crawl through a model python to learn about invasive species, and the zoo also has water play areas plus up-close animal encounters and feedings. It works well for a full day out with kids of any age, from toddlers to teens.
A membership to Zoo Miami carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
