Westminster Aero Modelers is a radio-control aircraft club based in Westminster, Maryland, active since 1955, where members fly everything from large-scale 3D planes and foamies to helicopters, drones, FPV quadcopters and EDF jets. The club flies out of Spiegel Field, its permanent home since 1995, and also uses Baughers Farm field during the winter hunting season when Spiegel Field is closed. Spectators, including families, are welcome to stop by and watch the flying sessions. In the past the club has run an educational outreach program for local schools, with members teaching kids the basics of flight, aerodynamics and hands-on STEM skills tied to building and flying model aircraft, work that earned the club a Governor's Citation from the state of Maryland.
