About this placeWarbirds of Glory Museum is a nonprofit aviation museum focused on the restoration of World War II era aircraft, including a B-25J Mitchell bomber recovered from an Alaskan riverbed after decades of abandonment. Visitors can see the ongoing restoration work and learn about the history of the aircraft and the crews who flew them during the war. The museum runs an educational program, the Kittyhawk Academy, that lets students get hands-on experience in aircraft restoration and mechanical skills alongside volunteers. It is normally open to visitors without an appointment every Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm, and visits at other times can be arranged by contacting the museum directly.
