About this place
Violette Hill Hay Farm is a petting farm in Mount Dora where kids can get up close with animals, including a capybara encounter with a friendly resident named Pumpkin. The farm offers hands-on animal experiences, horse rides, and hayrides, plus farm school classes for younger visitors to learn about animals. Seasonal events add extra reasons to visit throughout the year, such as a Pumpkin Patch in fall, Christmas on the Farm with a chance to meet Santa, and a real life Nativity Scene during the holidays. It works well for families looking for a mix of everyday animal interaction and festive seasonal activities.
