A house museum in Ellis, Kansas, preserving the childhood home of Walter P. Chrysler, founder of the Chrysler Corporation. Built in 1889, the white wooden house with cedar roof is furnished to show what life was like when the Chrysler family lived there from 1889 to 1908. A separate museum building added in 1994 displays personal items and objects belonging to Walter P. Chrysler. Families can tour both the original house and the newer museum building to learn about his early years and the history of the automobile industry.
A membership to The Walter P. Chrysler Boyhood Home and Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
