Randall Planetarium is a public planetarium on the Mt. SAC campus that has been introducing families to astronomy since 1968. Kids and adults can watch monthly planetarium shows under a 35-foot dome that seats up to 75 people, projected using Digistar digital and Zeiss SKYMASTER star systems with surround sound. Once a month, weather permitting, the on-site Mt. SAC Observatory offers free telescope viewing. School and scout groups can book field trips that combine a planetarium show with rocket building and launching, and tickets for regular shows can be bought online or at the door.
