The Contemporary Jewish Museum is an art museum in San Francisco dedicated to exploring Jewish culture and identity through exhibitions and programs. The building itself, which opened in 2008, combines a restored 1881 power station with a striking blue steel structure designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. The museum's design references the Hebrew word for "life" and has become a recognizable landmark in the city. The museum is currently closed temporarily while developing its long-term operations, but continues to share content about Jewish art, history and ideas online.
A membership to The Contemporary Jewish Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
